Chasys Draw IES

Chasys Draw IES is a suite of image editing applications including a layer-based image editor with adjustment layers, linked layers, timeline and frame-based animation, icon editing, image stacking and comprehensive plug-in support (Chasys Draw IES Artist), a fast multi-threaded image file converter (Chasys Draw IES Converter) and a fast image viewer (Chasys Draw IES Viewer), with RAW image support in all components. It supports the native file formats of several competitors including Adobe Photoshop, Affinity Photo, ArtWeaver, Corel PhotoPaint, FireAlpaca, GIMP, Krita, Paint.NET, PaintShop Pro and Pixlr, and the whole suite is designed to make effective use of multi-core processors, touch-screens and pen-input devices.

Quality Rollup, Image Alignment and Other Improvements

This release features improved image alignment (for image stacking) logic and user interface, as well as improvements to shell-out and effect plug-ins. It also includes the Quality Rollup for Q3 and Q4 of 2024 focusing on ease of use.

File Support and More

BMP file support has been improved to include oversize handling and support for non-standard top-down RLE files. JPEG-LS (.jls) and DICOM (.dcm) files are now supported, with the DICOM support being one of the best available in a freeware image editor.
