Saved .ani files are too large

Hello, I'm trying to use the software to convert a .gif I've created into a .ani file that I can use as an animated cursor. Everything was working up to the point where I saved the file, but when I used the cursor it was way too big. The original .gif I uploaded was only 18x18, but the cursor on my desktop was being resized to about almost twice as big, causing the cursor to become a little fuzzy in the process. Is there a way I can export the file to retain its original size?

It seems it was exporting in a 32x32 size, but I was able to fix it by adding a transparent border around the original .gif to make it 32x32, so that the exported .ani file was not resized.

Hi Jacob,
Windows will only work with cursors and animated cursors at certain sizes, and 18x18 is not one of them. As a result, Windows was scaling the cursor to 32x32 (the smallest size allowed by Windows) to produce something it can work with while loading the cursor. What you did (adding a transparent border) is the correct way of solving that.

One more thing: I hope you used the easy way to add those borders, i.e. Menu > Image > Set Image Canvas
